A. Optional Marketing Consent
Where a user has provided marketing consent through the Tourism Hub website, Rihilat Hospitality FZCO may send marketing and promotional communications relating to Tourism Hub updates, events, opportunities, offers, featured businesses, partnerships and related tourism or hospitality information using the contact details provided. Subject to applicable law and the user's communication preferences, these communications may be sent by email, SMS, telephone or messaging/social-media applications such as WhatsApp.
C. Data Use for Marketing
Where marketing consent is given, Tourism Hub may use relevant contact details and communication preferences for the marketing purposes described above, in accordance with the Tourism Hub Privacy Policy and applicable UAE law. Personal data should not be sold or disclosed to independent third parties for their own direct marketing merely because this box has been selected.
D. Important Telemarketing Control
Consent collected through this checkbox should not be treated as overriding UAE telemarketing requirements. Before telephone calls, SMS or marketing messages through social-media applications are used, Tourism Hub should confirm and comply with applicable licensing/approval, communication-channel, timing, opt-out and Do Not Connect Registry (DNCR) requirements.
E. Recommended System Record & Website Design
Record the user's affirmative selection, date/time, account/contact identifier, consent wording/version, communication preferences and any later withdrawal or opt-out. Do not pre-select the marketing checkbox.
- Recommended website design: The developer may capture marketing consent directly through the website registration/interface. No additional acknowledgement or second tick is required in this document. The website consent should remain optional and separate from mandatory registration acceptance.
UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 defines consent as specific, clear and unambiguous affirmative action and provides a right to stop processing for direct marketing. UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 56 of 2024 regulates marketing calls and expressly includes marketing text messages and marketing messages through social-media applications within its telemarketing framework. Final UAE counsel review is recommended before launch.
